At 5pm, forty minute ambient video loop starts on the library. Shadows will slowly pass over the building, while large snowflakes drift down and various architectural elements highlight themselves from time to time. The loop is designed to provide ambient atmosphere for the festivities.
At 11:50pm, a ten minute video mapped audio-visual show will begin on the library. Complete with an all-original soundtrack, Zebbler Studios have created a projection show on the Boston Public Library facade that takes the viewers from the earliest history of Boston, to the present moment, and into the future - providing the countdown till 2014.
Zebbler Berdovsky, a VJ and fixture of Boston’s electronic music scene, came to Arlington as an exchange student at the age of 16 from Belarus. He graduated from MassArt with a focus on video and show production. Zebbler Studios is a collaborative effort that evolved from his participation in VJ projects, including the Together Festival and commissions by the City of Boston. His artistic credits include Best Local Visual Artist (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and Best Boston Artist (Improper Bostonian, 2007), as well as #12 VJ in the World (DJ Magazine, 2007). Corporate clients also include Verizon and Red Bull, and ongoing tours with EOTO, Shpongle and Zebbler Encanti Experience.
